Endless Summer
This time of year it seems like everyone’s in a rush for fall to arrive. And every year don’t understand what’s the big hurry. We all moan about how we can’t wait for summer to be here and yet when we are in the midst of it, somehow we are yearning for the next thing already. Before we know it fall will be here then shortly after, winter and we will be back where we started. Sitting on our couches swaddled in blankets complaining about miserably cold it is, wishing for summer. These days it just seems like we are always onto the next thing and we can never really enjoy what’s happening now. We go with everyone else’s flow, their schedule, their pace and personally I’m tired of it. Tired of being rushed through the seasons, through fashion, through life. So I’m rebelling and doing everything I can to make this summer last as long as possible. Taking last minute road trips, celebrating with long days on the beach and finding every reason to enjoy the sunshine while I can. I just want to slow everything down so I can keep smelling the lilacs, keep wearing my summer pieces, keep enjoying this moment that I’ll never get back again. Because life truly is short. And it can be easy to spend most of it focusing on the next thing instead of appreciating what’s in front of you right now. So don’t feel like you have to go into the next season until you’re ready. Don’t rush out to buy fall pieces, or any pieces, just because that’s what everyone else is doing. Get there when you want to get there, at your own pace and enjoy your journey the way you want to.
