I don’t know about you, but I’ve been seeing this teddy bear coat all over Instagram.  Seriously, this exact one!  Normally I’m very hesitant when it comes to trends because looking like everyone else is boring to me.  And if you know me, I’m half hating myself for buying something everyone else has.  Much like the puffer jacket, this coat is proving to be a must have piece for winter.  While I’ve struggled to accept the rise of puffer jackets, I’ve welcomed fuzzy coats into my wardrobe with open arms. How could anyone resist being swaddled in teddy bear like softness?  Part of the reason I’ve gravitated towards them is because they have the ability to be a timeless wardrobe staple.  My mom is a prime example, she bought one 10 years ago and here they are back on the rise!

If this style of coat seems daunting to you try the easy way of incorporating it into wardrobe. Layer it over a casual outfit.  A cozy sweater, jeans, boots plus a teddy bear coat, you can’t lose.  But since I already bought something that everyone else has, I have to wear in a way that not everyone else will.  That’s just how I roll. And for those of you who’re like me and really want to stand out while wearing what everyone else is in, I suggest pairing your teddy bear coat with a bold color.  You don’t have to go overboard, although kudos if you do, but think rust orange, burgundy, forest green or navy for winter.
