2020 has been wild to say the least. With all the highs and lows I plan on bringing this crazy ride to an end in style. Like everyone else on this emotional roller coaster I’m approaching the new year with mixed feelings. Even though I experienced some major lows like reduced pay, my social life becoming non-existent and going through the majority of the pandemic alone, there’s a lot about this year that I am grateful for. I finally learned how to stick to my budget, I prioritized my health, dove into a new routine as well as rediscovered old passions. I learned how to be alone, slow down and found joy in my own company! I stopped making never ending to-do lists and actually starting getting more done. I finally got out of my own way so I could experience all the things I wanted but had always put off because I didn’t have anyone to do them with. Things like traveling to the Smokey Mountains, going paddle boarding and even dressing up for absolutely no reason. As anxious as I am for 2021, there’s so much that I owe to this crazy year. So to ring in the end of this decade and hopefully continue into the new year with all I’ve learned I’m sharing this glam sequins New Years Eve outfit with you.
Why this Dress is Perfect for the New Year
I’m usually pretty practical when buying new clothes. I like pieces that are versatile and can be worn multiple ways or through many seasons. When it comes to dressing for the holidays though, all that goes out the window. As soon as I saw this dress scrolling through ASOS I instantly imagined myself wearing it for NYE but the price made me hesitate. When buying holiday pieces I’m extra cautious because sometimes pieces like this are cheaply made and I don’t like to spend a lot on a something I know won’t wear much. So I patiently waited until it went on sale and was able to snag it for under $100! I immediately tried it on once it arrived and squealed with joy because it fit so well. It wasn’t until I took these pictures at the Siren Hotel that I was truly sold. After basically rolling all over the couch to capture these shots I was relieved to find that none of the pieces were broken or bent! Even though I’ll be celebrating NYE at home I can’t wait to wear this as I dance around my living room to Megan the Stallion, sipping some Tennessee hard cider and nibbling from a charcuterie tray.
