In case you didn’t know, I’m not #blessed to be a full time blogger.  I work 40+ hours a week saving my hard earned bucks, scouring the sites for deals and paying for my own clothes.  And I’m guessing you do too!  So you know how important it is to choose new pieces to add to your wardrobe with lots of thought and consideration.  But what you might not know is that it’s equally imperative you learn how to restyle your clothes to get the most bang for your buck.  If you fell into the sequins blazer fad from 2018 but now are feeling some buyer’s remorse, no worries because I’ll be re-wearing my sequins blazer dress again to ring in 2019. Not only for the reasons I stated above, but also to remove the negative stigma that has become associated with re-wearing pieces that we have slaved away at our jobs to buy.  We shouldn’t be punished for treating ourselves by only wearing an item or an outfit once and retiring it to the back of our closets until the end of time. I implore you to wear your favorite pieces over and over over again! It doesn’t matter if you wear it the same way as before or in an entirely new way as long as you feel amazing!  So if you’re looking for how you can re-style that sequins blazer you wore last New Year’s Eve then keep scrolling for my tips on I’m getting away with wearing the same thing without anyone noticing!

Re-wearing statement pieces can feel overwhelming but that’s because we tend over think it.  There are plenty of easy and inexpensive ways you can transform your statement pieces for a completely different look.  One really simple way to change up your outfit is by swapping out your shoes.  For example this year I styled my blazer dress with a pair of statement heels which really packs on the NYE glam.  Last year I wore my thigh high boots which toned down the blazer and gave the look an entirely different vibe.  Another quick way to change up a piece is by layering it.  This year I topped off a pair of velvet pants with my sequins blazer so that it could be worn to more conservative functions while maintaining the NYE glitz. You could also layer it over a dress, or even a tee and shorts. Also don’t underestimate the power your accessories and make up have on changing your look.  Switching around your jewelry or purse can have a huge impact on your outfit’s vibe. While I didn’t play too much with my accessories here, consider adding a pair of statement earrings to take your look to another level!  I also want to take a quick second to thank all of you for continuing to follow along this crazy journey called life with me.  There have definitely been a lot of ups and downs this year, some set backs but also so achievements.  Your support has really helped to grow Lil Miss JB Style into what it has become today!  I hope your holiday season is/has been amazing and I can’t wait to see what the new year will have in store.  See you in 2019!
