Valentine’s day is upon us, at least according to the stores. From pajamas, dresses, matching sets, lingerie every store has been painted in hues of red and pink. Plus filled to the brim with chocolates, candies and all kinds of bubbly. Personally I love it! Even though most of our holidays are made up, I can’t help but get a little swept up in it. Especially this year. I plan to host a Galentine’s day gathering for my girls-keep your eyes open for a post on that soon. There will be decorations, a cute tablescape, drinks and of course cute outfits!  We also have a Galentine’s day dinner planned to try out Barda in Detroit. On top of that my boyfriend and I’s anniversary is the day after Valentine’s day. With so many plans it can feel tempting to buy a whole new fit for each occasion. Your first instinct might be to check your fave content creator on IG, Pinterest or TikTok for outfit inspo then run out to buy something new.  When I run into situations like this, especially for the holidays, I actually like to look back at my previous outfits for inspiration. Sometimes you have the pieces to make the perfect outfit already sitting in your closet but just need a spark to put them together. That’s how I came up with this pink outfit idea as one option for my plans. I wore a very similar outfit for my birthday in 2017. The only difference is I swapped out my burgundy suit from Topshop with this one from NastyGal for a cute date night outfit that works for the holiday.
