Welcome back gal pals!  Today I wanted to have a quick chit chat about knowing how much skin to show because in today’s fast paced society, I mean look at the Kylie Jenner, Kim Kardashian, Beyoncé, or bad gal RiRi (Rihanna) for that matter, it’s hard to decipher how much skin is too much.  And with the weather getting hotter it’s important to figure out where to draw the line.

When it comes to deciding how much to show, there’s a few things you should consider:

1. The Weather: if it’s just going to be plain old hot, I’m all for showing a bit more skin, a floral bodysuit and culottes have been my go to uniform as of late, but if there’s a chance of rain, I opt for more breathable fabrics, think linen or silk, instead.
2. The Occasion: there is nothing worse than being the only one showing too much skin wherever you’re at, especially if you’re out grocery shopping.  Make sure you know the dress code for where you’re headed and plan accordingly.
3. Your Proportions: remember the key to a put together look is balance!  If you’re legs are out then keep the girls tucked away or keep your legs and chest covered by playing around with crop tops, cut outs, or sheer fabrics.
4. Your Confidence: like I tell my mom all the time, so what if you’re over 40, you’ve got nice legs so show them off!  If you’re confident showing off your body then do it!  Don’t let others tell you what you can or, in this case, can’t wear, just make sure you’re not breaking any laws.

At the end of the day you have to remember it’s your body to show or hide from the world, the choice is entirely yours so show only what you are comfortable and confident with showing!  I simply ask that you keep others in mind, I mean no mother wants to have to worry about covering her kid’s eyes in Walmart because your butt is coming out of your shorts….just saying.  Keep scrolling for more of the look and outfit details!
