Nasty Gal Coat Lighting

As I’ve probably mentioned several times since fall started, trying to figure out what to wear can be quite the struggle.  One day it feels like the verge of winter and the next like a chance at a second wind of summer.  Layering is a very important skill to develop because as the weather cools you want to look good in your layers without looking bulky.  That’s where outerwear comes into play, sweaters can immediately add unwanted bulk while jackets and fall coats can be used for warmth while looking chic.

Fall coats are general made of lighter materials than winter coats so that they can ward off the autumn chill but not cause over heating later in the day.  Some fall coats, like the one I’m rocking, come in shorter sleeve or sleeveless variations which are perfect for those days where the sun is shining but the wind is not playing games.  They key to choosing a transitional coat is to determine your personal needs.  Don’t buy a coat just because everyone else has it, find what works for your body, lifestyle and personal preferences.  You want to be sure that it not only fits your style, but makes you feel great about yourself too!
