When you live somewhere cold, or don’t have a bae, it’s a little hard to get excited for Valentine’s Day. Even if you miraculously have plans that involve leaving the house, which congrats because COVID is seriously limiting options this year, it can be a real pain deciding what to wear. While you might want to dress like the smoldering temptress you are the subzero temps will quickly have you questioning your life decisions. And even if you are staying in that doesn’t mean you still don’t want to get cute! Personally I’ll be spending my night in this year. While I plan on enjoying some seafood, kombucha and a dessert grazing tray with fruit, chocolate pretzels and of course my favorite chocolate chip cookies I have two Valentine’s Day outfit ideas that I’m in between. So if you’re on the hunt for what to wear on your date night or around the house, then keep scrolling!
When in doubt for what to wear, I love me a wrap dress! The plunge on this dress shows just the right amount of skin, the wrapped skirt highlights my waist while revealing my legs, like I really cannot go wrong. What I love about this piece is it works for an evening out or an evening in. You can also repurpose this for other holidays like Christmas too! If you plan to venture outside for Valentine’s day I’d suggest finding a maxi wrap style that would cover your legs. Then you could pair it with a thicker winter coat plus some knee high boots! For an evening in you can wear it as is or with a cute pair of sandals. Either way you’re sure to feel sexy yet comfortable for whatever the night has in store!
Another chic but warmer options for Valentine’s day is a knit matching set. Not only will you have something chic to wear but you can also style the top or bottom separately for even more outfit options! While a cute sweater and pant combo would be perfect for the cooler weather, I opted for a sweater with a matching skirt. You can style the set as is or even tuck in the top but I decided to turn the sweater into crop top by tying the sweater in front with a hair tie then tucking it into my bra. It adds even more sex appeal while being equally comfortable. To wear this out of the house I’d layer with a maxi coat and pair it with some cute ankle booties or or over the knee boots. For in the house I’d probably leave it untucked and put on some slippers to keep my feet cozy. Again it’s an outfit that you’ll feel super sexy in but equally comfortable!
Even if you plan to spend Valentine’s Day alone, I hope that you take some time to make it special for you. Dress up and treat yourself because girl you definitely deserve it!
