Welcome to part 2 of my 3 part holiday outfit series, make sure you check out part 1 featuring my casual holiday outfit. Today’s look is a holiday outfit you can wear to the office. These days dressing for your 9-5 can be tricky, especially when trying to stay true to your style. Don’t let the added element of the holidays throw you for a loop when creating an office friendly holiday outfit. Here are some tips on how to put together the perfect holiday outfit for work:
- Start with an office friendly, holiday-esque base. For work, especially in a more conservative office, going too bold probably isn’t the best thing. Instead choose a holiday inspired piece like burgundy slacks or a green dress to build your outfit around.
- Layer with some personality. Don’t reach for a boring plain old blazer to top off your look, instead throw on a layer that really speaks to your style while complimenting your base.
- Pick a more statement making accessory. The office holiday party is a great place to let your accessories shine, literally. Trade in your plain pumps for a metallic pair or throw on a more statement making necklace that works with your outfit.
When creating a look for the office, the key is balancing professionalism with personality. You don’t want to go overboard with the holiday spirit. Stick to one or two holiday inspired pieces and anchor your look with neutral pieces that still show some personality. Style wouldn’t be style if it wasn’t personal! See what I wore last holiday season.

Glad you enjoyed the look Elise! Navy is such a fresh alternative to an all black look and a super easy way to update an outfit and wearing the metallic shoes was my way of adding a bit of holiday spirit.
