I don’t talk about wardrobe staples or classics often because frankly I think those lists on “clothes you must have this fall” are bologna, but a camel coat is a must have in my book. The great thing about a camel coat for fall is it an easy basic but can just as easily be a statement piece if styled correctly.
If you’re looking to wear it as a basic, use your camel coat to pull together a busier look. Think monochrome in unexpected shades, color blocking or even mixing patters. If you want to rock your camel coat for fall as more of a statement mix it with colors that help the color to really pop like navy or burgundy. It’s all about how you want to express yourself, what your day consists of and of course if your outfit makes you feel awesome. As you guys know I’m a bit of tomboy so I went with more of an edgy androgynous look by mixing a tailored coat and slacks with faux leather details in my top and booties. Most women steer away from this look, but I think it’s unexpectedly sexy while remaining modern and appropriate for work. See how else you can style a camel coat for fall.
