It’s funny how something seemingly insignificant, like wearing this yellow dress, can spark nostalgia. Reminding me of a time when I wouldn’t dare touch colors. A time when I wouldn’t dare do a lot of things. But as I’ve grown to embrace myself, I’ve branched beyond my comfort zone. Trying new things. Things that once seemed risky or out of reach. Especially considering what I do for a living. And in confronting my fears, even the ones as irrational as wearing color, I’ve pushed passed my existing limits into new territory. And when I look back, I think how silly the fear was. That I let it take me so long. Even laugh a little at how much it used to terrify me.

Has this ever happened to you? You overcome something that once seemed absolutely unattainable. And you just look back and marvel at how far you’ve come. How much you’ve accomplished. At how much you’ve grown. As a blogger I’m blessed to see my evolution on a daily basis. This space serves as my constant reminder to continue growing. I hope it serves as your as well. So today I implore you to do something that scares you. Even it’s something as simple as wearing a yellow dress. I urge you to escape your comfort zone if not daily, at least once a week.
