Working From Home in Style
Are you tired of wearing sweats? Looking to be chic while comfy in quarantine but aren’t sure what to wear besides leggings or jeans? As someone who has worked from home once a week for the past 4 years I have a bunch of comfortable work from home outfits on deck. At first I tried to keep some normalcy by dressing for work but I won’t lie Miss Rona messed up my vibes so that quickly went out the window since my job doesn’t hold Zoom meetings. That means there’s been zero need for me to put on real clothes. After a while though I noticed that being in my lounge wear shifted my mindset to be lazier. Which makes sense because I usually never wear them unless I’m home for the day and ready to mentally check out. So over the past week I made an effort to find comfortable work from home outfits to rock to my makeshift office. What I’ve found from this little experiment is that I feel more focused and get a lot more done during the day. Proof that an outfit really has the power to transform your mood. Though the thought of staying in PJs all day is tempting, getting dressed for my work from home days has made me far more productive. It’s also why I stopped wearing my workout clothes as lounge wear which has helped shift my mindset so when I put on work out clothes I’m mentally prepared to work out, not lounge. Since most of us are staying safe and staying home, I wanted to share with you some chic work from home outfit ideas that I’m loving and are just as comfy as your sweats!
1. Cozy Sweater + Mini (or Midi) Skirt
There’s nothing like snuggling up in a cozy sweater am I right? Instead of pairing my sweater with some sweats I’ve been reaching for a chic but comfortable skirt. What I love about this particular skirt is that the waistband is elastic. So it’s basically like wearing sweat pants but business casual ready for working from home.

2. An Oversized Jumpsuit
Personally I love a good jumpsuit because it’s an easy throw on and go outfit. No fuss, no muss. My trick for a comfortable jumpsuit is to find one in an oversized fit and made of breathable material like cotton. If the thought of oversized scares you because you like to show off your figure don’t fear, you can always add a belt or find one with an elastic waist detail!

3. White Tee + Knit Skirt
This outfit feels like lounge wear while still looking put together. The great thing about this look is you can customize it based on your work style. I haven’t found the need to dress it up, but if you have video meetings you could easily add a blazer on top.

4. A Silky Dress
While this may not be your first choice hear me out. What I love about this dress is it makes me feel super luxurious while being incredibly cozy. The material is crazy soft but looks so high end. It’s the same feeling I image you get when you wear one of those long feathery, furry robes from the 50’s, glamorous, sexy and ready to take on anything!

5. Crop Top (or Tank) + Linen Pants
The key to nailing this this at home is pieces made with comfortable materials. That’s why I put such an emphasis on choosing clothes that look cute but also make you feel confident and are cozy for the life you live. A breathable crop top with a chic knot detail paired with soft pants that have a fun print and an elastic waist is about as close as you can get to wearing sweats while working from home.
