-Style Q&A-
As a Midwest lifer, I can relate to the dressing for winter struggle. On one hand you want to look good but on the other you want to be warm. I get it, a lot of winter friendly clothes are not the most flattering, especially if you’ve got curves. A question I get from many of my clients, being Midwest dwellers themselves, is what is the best way to stay stylish during the harsh winter weather? Well don’t worry I have you covered! The most important investments to make during winter are:
- Coats. This is the easiest way to update your look for winter! Try to have one that works for your 9-5, one for when the temps get below zero and a quirky one to wear as a pick me up!
- Shoes. Footwear is a great way to instantly add style to an otherwise simple look. Get a chic pair of winter friendly boots, a classic pair of booties and of course a fun pair to spice up an outfit. If there’s a lot of snow and salt where you live, try to avoid suede.
- Accessories. Winter is the perfect time to practice accessorizing, and not with jewelry. Find a great hat or pair of earmuffs, stylish gloves and an oversized scarf or two.
- Layering Pieces. The cold months are a great time to master your layering skills. Whether you like to wear sweaters over button ups or throw on a jacket, take this time to get a few versatile pieces for the season.
Remember the key is to stick to your style preferences, even in winter. Don’t know what yours are, check out my post on how to define your personal style or schedule a consultation today! Looking for stylist picks, then keep scrolling!
