Green Pants
You guys already know one of the most important things to me is versatility. No matter how cute a piece is or how well it fits if I can’t see myself wearing it at least 5 different ways and during different seasons it’s not worth the money in my opinion. And the moment I saw these green high waist pants from River Island I just knew I’d wear them nonstop, and I was right! These pants are super comfortable thanks to the elastic waistband and the fact that the material has some elastane. Also they’re made from mostly cotton making them the perfect pair of pants to wear as we transition into a new season. So today I rounded up 3 green pants outfits to share with you that you can rock from summer into fall.
Honestly I love a good asymmetric top. I admit if you have smaller boobs finding one that fits is tricky but they are so stylish and a perfect way to add interest to a green pair of pants for summer. With temps still in the 80s I went for a chic yet breathable outfit with this asymmetric body suit and summer sandals. As I mentioned in my 3 ways to wear a green blazer post green and white has been one of my go to color combos for summer because it really keeps the look bright without feeling overwhelming. To add a bit of edge I paired my outfit with a snake print purse and thicker gold necklace. The print adds some fun without being too distracting. The whole outfit is comfortable yet chic but honestly the top is not really functional for any kind of real movement. This is the kind of look I’d wear to meet up with a friend for a coffee or out on dinner date during these last summer days.
As the temps start to cool I’m swapping out my sleeveless tops for sturdier button ups. This khaki top really amps up the utility look that the high waist green pants already had. To really drive home the safari vibes I decided to pair my fit with a croc print fanny pack and snake print knee high boots. Just like the last look both accessories add personality without taking the look too over the top. If you’re unsure about the pants in knee high boots thing give some chic ankle boots or even sneakers a try. This is definitely a more functional outfit. If you’re bold like me this is something you could easily wear to the office. It’s also perfect for an unexpected outfit to do some local shopping or exploring new museums and art exhibits.
You guys probably know by now that I love a good monochrome outfit. The key to wearing one color head to toe without looking boring is to add unexpected pieces. While a crop top with high waist pants is nothing new, the green faux leather jacket helps to really pack a punch. Unlike most statement pieces that can feel too overwhelming to wear all the time, this green jacket is as versatile as these pants! Check out 3 ways I styled this Bird Bee jacket earlier this year. You most likely noticed that I’m having a real moment with snake print again this fall. Like it or not, animal print is here to stay for yet another season. So it’s no shocker that I finished off my look with some chic snake print heeled sandals. What I love about these heels is that they are actually comfortable so this outfit is something I could wear wandering downtown Detroit or Toledo as the temperatures cool. Since COVID is still a thing I definitely haven’t been hitting any clubs. Buuuut in precedented times this is definitely a look I’d wear to grab drinks with the girls and twerk something out on the dance floor.
