If you come to Lil Miss JB Style often, then you’ll know I love menswear inspired looks. I can’t help but take a tip from the boys when it comes dressing for the office. The reason I love looking to the boys for inspiration is because for them, office wear is pretty straight forward. I mean a nice button up and trousers, it’s really hard to go wrong. The best part about men’s work wear is that they rely heavily on accessories, colors, and prints to step up their style game. Since I’m not one to mix colors or patterns often, I am an avid fan of accessorizing and what better way to make a statement in the office than with metallic shoes?
The key to accessorizing any look is balance. You want to be sure that nothing you add on distracts from what you’re already wearing. The exception is when you want your accessories to make a statement. Then the goal becomes accessorizing base in a way that still adds to the look without being to overwhelming. At the end of the day you have to remember to wear what makes you happy. If you’re an arm-party type of gal then go for it, if you’re a less is more person then embrace that as well. Style is a personal journey but the goal for everyone is the same to dress in a way that makes you feel amazing!
