There’s something about androgynous clothing that just makes me feel at peace, especially in the form of a boyfriend blazer. I don’t know what it is, but whenever I’m in over-sized anything I generally feel more comfortable. I love that it can be formal yet casual and unexpectedly sexy. For me, menswear is where it’s at. The key to rocking the shapeless style of boyfriend clothes is to find a way to add shape back into your look. Typically people do this by wearing a more form fitting item with something that sits loosely on the body. In this look I used the front tuck of the sweater to help add curves back into an otherwise shapeless outfit.
After that it was just a matter of accessorizing in a way that works for the look you’ve put together. Personally for fall and winter my go to color is a shade of burgundy, wine or oxblood to add some smolder to an otherwise plain outfit.
