When you’re headed out for a night on the town in the fall you have to be prepared for any kind of weather, especially in Michigan. If your friends are anything like mine, then you also have to be prepared for anything. When you never know where you’ll end up or how you’ll get there, you need an outfit that can literally be work for any going out occasion. Whether you end up at a lounge, sports bar, or club you want your look to fit the crowd but also be able endure a long night potentially full of being on your feet.
That’s where layering comes in. There’s nothing chic-er and weather friendly, than layering a boyfriend blazer over a feminine outfit to give it some edge. The reason layering works is because it can help your outfit transition from one environment to another with ease. If you’re going to a nicer establishment you can don a boyfriend blazer or other layer to make your look more conservative. When it’s time to hit the club with the girls you can drape it or leave it in the car. It’s a nice way to layer up and keep warm while walking, or sprinting if it’s super cold, from venue to venue. Remember to choose a layer that works for your body and style while making you feel amazing! See how else I’ve styled this skirt here!
