Chambray tops are another item on my must-have list, talk about versatile!  Easy to dress up or down, it goes with just about everything and can be a nice swim suit cover if tied at the waist (for rectangle/pear shapes of course). It is definitely a staple in my wardrobe because it works for numerous occasions and from season to season making it a solid investment!

I paired my lighter wash chambray top with my darker high waist shorts for a color block look which helps to define my waist.  To keep my silhouette from being to boring I added these high waist shorts with a tie front to add more waist definition as well as left a few buttons undone to elongate my neck.  I also wore my favorite burgundy wide brim hat for a hint of something unexpected.  Though my sandals were definitely NOT for a day of walking but were perfect for a day at the beach.

Style Tip: When color blocking using shorts, be sure that you contrast colors at the smallest part of your waist to give yourself shape and look thinner.
