So as September comes to a close, so must fashion week and what better way to bid it farewell than by attending Hour Detroit’s Best Dressed 2015 fashion show? Much like Fash Bash this show had everything: a red carpet, delectable finger foods, a DJ killing the ones and twos, fashion forward Detroiters and of course great fashion!
Though I did not capture it, I definitely felt the street style for this show was far more modern and awe inspiring. Although I didn’t snap pics of the attendees I did happen to catch a few from the runway and of course my outfit. Keep scrolling to see some looks from the show and my look for Hour Detroit’s Best Dressed fashion show!
-Now for my Look-
Do you guys remember when I wore my Lulu’s romper and complained about how rompers weren’t made for pear shapes, well I think ASOS heard me and answered my prayers. I treated myself to this blush beauty as a 24th birthday gift and anxiously awaiting the perfect occasion for its debut! Though it is stunning by itself, I knew I had to give it some oomph for Hour Detroit’s Best Dressed. I decided to level up my look by rocking matching heels, a touch of burgundy and by adding fur stole like I did for my NYFW outfit.
The key to a good romper is fit. It needs to not only cinch your waist in the right spot but be the right length to keep from showing too much when I bent over. You also want to make sure it’s comfortable and that you can move around the way you plan to without any clothing mishaps. Rompers and jumpsuits are tricky, the key is to be patient until you find one that’s a perfect fit!

I’m glad you liked the look, adding the fur was a total repeat from my NYFW post but if it ain’t broke right? Glad you stopped by Megan!
You do rock a romper. I love it paired with the burgundy purse. I just love the purse! The nails look great too 🙂
Thanks Alicia, the key is finding the right fit because it took me FOREVER to find one that didn’t show my butt when I bent over.
Great look. I love the burgundy next to the pale pink. And the fur adds a great fun touch. Thanks for linking up with us today.
